Five details make an enquiry work: product name, listed size, the count you need, the full delivery address, and the hour you want it there. If you already run a regulator or siphon, send its manufacturer and model as well.

If the preferred item is unavailable, the response should not guess what substitution is acceptable. Say whether another listed capacity may be discussed after equipment compatibility is verified, or whether only the exact product will do. With that decision included, the enquiry becomes a complete operational brief rather than a series of separate questions.
